This session focused on a topic that has become increasingly important for anyone considering a long-term career in Japan: Japanese language proficiency and the recent updates to the Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services (技術・人文知識・国際業務) visa guidelines. We were also fortunate to be joined by Marc Anderson, CEO of COMASJAPAN and a former JET participant, who shared practical insights on language learning, career development, and life after JET.

豊後大野での生活は、大阪や東京の賑やかな大都会とは隔世の感があるが、親切やコミュニティ、思いがけない文化交流の機会には事欠かない。 地方のJET参加者の多くが、小さなコミュニティーに身を置くことがユニークで特別な経験であることに同意すると確信している。 きみさん、かあちゃん、みつこさんのような人たちは、多くの日本人が外国人を温かく迎えてくれることを象徴している。 何年か先にも、彼らが英会話グループに参加し続け、未来のJET参加者と友情を築いてくれることを願っている。
